My Work

REMEMBERING - What are the facts

  1. Where does the Tasmanian devil have whiskers ? head and face

  2. Why are they called Tasmanian devils? Because they live in tasmania and they make a noise that sounds like a devil

  3. What colour are Tasmanian devils?

  4. Write a question like the ones above. Write the answer. You must be able to find the answer in the report.

My Work

COMPREHENSION - Show that you understand the information

4. Draw a picture showing what a Tasmanian devil does when it feels in danger. You must include labels.

5.  Think of a new title for this report that summarises the special features of Tasmanian devil.

Museum letter!

Dear Museum Staff,

Thank you for giving up your time to teach us about old toys and Māori culture. I had a great time playing games I had never seen or heard before. It was really fun and we all had a great time at the museum.

Tubular Thursday.

On Thursday the 5th of November Room 2&3 went to the Canterbury museum, The library and Margaret Mahy.

We left school at 9:30am on a bus we stopped at Margaret Mahy for room 3, then we continued to the museum. When we got there we sat and had morning tea in the botanic gardens and then we heading to the museum.

We put our bags in the cabinets and sat down we were told about safety, rules and who were gonna be instructed by we passed into the Maori room and we learnt about games we play an old game where you have stones and how you win is to block your opponent and then we made up our own games with natural materials.  After we went into the moon room the hallway into there had a clear floor and the roof and walls with fairy lights it was amazing.

We walked past there into a classroom were we played with old toys and kaleidoscopes. We walked to the library and me and my friends played just dance and then we left. We bussed to Margaret Mahy me and my friends played on the big grey slide. We bussed to school then we went to pick up.
